Thick wide slats made from 100% plantation-grown Indonesian teak, one of the strongest most weather- and insect-resistant woods available today, may not look sturdy but it is. The teak's naturally-produced rubber and oils along with mortise-and-tenon joinery give this wood its strength and protect it from splitting. Slightly arched armrests provide soft resting spots for arms and thick fabric covered cushions provide soft resting spots for other body parts. It's hard to imagine this sofa could look any better but it definitely does when sitting with the rest of the Rossa deep seating collection. The plush cushion is 8 inches thick.
